As much as a lot of the population will look forward to spending some of the summer relaxing and regenerating, it is also a good time for young people to get a little job. Either a summer job or a permanent part-time job to fit around their studies.
Everyone has their own thoughts about young people working around their studies, but part of this decision is for the young person too. However, it can be hard to challenge them with it if you have opposing views.
But the reason I made this blog with this as a focus, is because it does make your more employable when you finish your studies, and it's always good to have some financial independence too. Seeing the year 11's, 12's and 13's finishing up for the summer, and coming to the end of their exams, as well as a lot of university students also finishing up for the summer. I thought it was the right time to share this.
So, what's stopping you doing this, in order to help you further down the line.
Having some support from a professional to identify the right kind work, where to look and how to apply. As repeated applications with no response, can be quite tiresome, and make you feel like you aren't getting anywhere.
That's why speaking to a professional careers adviser can give you the information, advise and guidance you need, to support you in making this happen.
