Look out, look out wherever you are??

Sometimes finding the right information can be difficult. Then finding reliable information can be even harder.

Using certified and Nationally or Internationally recognised providers are by far the best ways of doing this.

Professionals and professional organisations can be great at providing some reliable links for these.

Living in the digital era means that a lot of people use online search engines to find what we are looking for. This may be a new job or apprenticeship, or information to include in something we are writing about, like school work/blog/news article. Often changing the words you use can change the results provided quite significantly.

Although sometimes a good place to look can be direct to the origin. This may be going direct to a company for their current vacancies, or specific organisations and authors for reliable information.

We have more information available to us now, than we ever have. Looking in the right places and ensuring the information found is factual and accurate are vital.

Specifically to careers, there are currently 736,000 job vacancies in the UK (Labour Market Statistics - ons.gov.uk). We have to ask ourselves whether they are being advertised well enough for people to find, and whether people are applying for them in the correct way, along with having the skills and abilities for the vacancies available?
